So it all begins!!

Wednesday morning rolled around, and it was time to pack up all our things into the Uhaul, and get on the road the plans were to be all packed up and ready to leave by 4:00 Pm so that we could make good time and get at least as close to Louisiana as possible in the first day, BUT... The weather had other plans for us, we woke up and loaded all the motel things into the Uhaul, then headed over to the tailer where it was pouring down rain and had no signs that it was going to ever clear up at all, so that pushed us back a little while, we worked through the rain as much as possible and got everything finally packed inside the Uhaul, we headed down to our families house they all were there to see us off, we had still a lot of running that had to be done and since the rain was against us so bad we all needed new showers, we all showered and packed some more stuff into the truck and everything went and told everyone we loved them and would be seeing them soon!! Which took longer then expected at some but hey that's fine!! We had a really good meal with all our close family members and enjoyed some fun times! 

Everything we had to do and everything we finally got on the road around 11:00pm, and we had a long night ahead of us, Lynn and Braxton crashed out as soon as we buckled them in which was good the highways were BUSY, 

Around 12:30-1:00 we finally was able to hit South Carolina, it felt like we were getting somewhere a little bit but but the timing we needed, after we got into South Carolina, we stopped to try and sleep at a truck stop it was just too loud and to many cars around so we drove some more,  the next truck stop was forever away but finally around 3:00am we found one, we were able to sleep a little bit then around 6:00am we headed out again! 

Mom finally had to finish driving out South Carolina, to Georgia then Jeffrey took it back, we made it to Georgia around 7:30am 

We stopped and ate before we hit Atlanta Georgia at the Waffle House, this group has to have that Waffle House, 

Lynn and Braxton have been great little travel babies, they slept from the time we pulled out of Thomasville North Carolina, all the way until we pulled into Waffle House right at Atlanta Georgia, we went in and ate drove a few hours and Braxton is already back to sleep, 

 

Coming through Atlanta we though it would take us around the by pass (Loop) but instead we went straight into downtown Atlanta, it's a pretty place, 

As of right now we are about 25 miles and we will be into Alabama, we are headed down to Louisiana to see my sister and nephews!

Busy Week

So this week was crunch time for us, we had so much stuff to do and not enough time really... 

Monday was our first day of not having to get up for work so that was a pretty good feeling although it was a bit weird and I missed my work people like crazy! Me and Mom were up pretty early for some running we needed to do which we didn't think would be to bad, but it felt like it took forever, we had to go from County to County and pick up Birth certificate for all of us (Mom, Steven, Me, Lynn & Braxton) started off in Randolph, then to Guildford, and finally finishing up in Davidson, also we had to run by the unemployment office and talk about our lay off and good thing is we get to start signing up Sunday and should have a check by Tuesday!! So Monday was a long and busy day for us!!!

Tuesday, was pretty excited we had a lot to do but we knew Carl was coming in soon so it was good, Jeffrey and Steven went early morning to pick up the Rental Car and I loved the car it was a Chevy Spark I have been seeing them and was so excited to be riding in one, but... When we got the Spark we realized that it was only a 4 seater and that just wouldn't work for us, Jeffrey had to call the place back and go to trade the car so it was all the way to Greensboro Airport we go, finally getting there we picked up our new rental a VW Jetta, it's pretty cool, nice riding car and its not to bad on any gas either!! By the time we got all the way back it was crunch time for Jeffrey to turn around and go pick up Carl from the airport at 7:00 as he flew back to the Airport, sadly he got a speeding ticket on this fast car he is driving, so that really sucks, but I will be calling the lawyer for him to see about having it fixed!! :) 

We leave tomorrow for our road trip to California so keep watching to see the more I post and about our trip and all That we are doing!!

Last Weekend here In North Carolina!

So this was our last weekend in North Carolina before we head out to California, and let me tell you it was pretty fun and emotional, started out with Friday, when we woke up we knew it was our last day and work and that made it even harder to get up and go in for the fact we were going to be really sad to leave everyone! But we did it anyways and it was REALLY hard even harder then I thought, all day long I was doing pretty good not crying or anything I just stayed kinda to myself so I wouldn't be crying! Then when I walked to where I would be working for the day I found a note left from a really awesome friend Debra King, and I kept telling my self I'm not reading it until I'm off work I don't want to cry but I'm nosy and I couldn't wait so it made me cry because it was so sweet and I love her so much!! My best friend Wendy gave me a shirt also and told me its so I won't forget about her and that made me really cry to not in a bad way, but I will never forget all my great friends!! But I was able to hold my self together for most of the day anyways but the minute I was in the parking going home and knew this is my last time being here hit me pretty bad!!! But it's on to better things for my life, and the day had to come sooner then later!! 

Saturday we planned on having a early morning yard sale since this would be the last weekend here in NC and we needed more money for the trip but the weather had different plans for us as it rained ALL DAY long, but we did get a lot of thing packed and labeled yard sale and what's being kept is all together as well, we took the dogs and had them all groomed up and ready for the move to California to! 

We also went to the cook off, Saturday between Terry and Cathy and that was really nice to spend much needed family time together and taste the good food, Terry won the cook off... But both meals where pretty good!! 

Today Sunday we spent it getting all of our keep clothes washed and ready to be packed into the Uhaul, that took FOREVER, we spent like 3 or 4 hours in the laundry mat washing drying and folding everything!! But it's finished now it's relax time for the night and a busy day ahead of us tomorrow as well!!!

Not much longer we will be on the road headed out West, keep us covered in your prayers that we have a safe and easy trip on this long ride to California!!

Bittersweet week so far!!!

Well it's only Wednesday, and so far this week has been going pretty good, it's getting harder getting to the end of the week because Friday is mine and moms last day at Trimfit, it will be a super sad day!! But it's been a wonderful 3 1/2 years for my self, I love each and everyone of my friends at that place and will truly miss them!! But we will keep in touch no matter what.... 

So this is kinda a view of the week so far! 

Monday was a pretty good day I woke up knowing this was my last working week so it was pretty exciting, then at work the girls that are amazing friends made me and mom a memory board and let everyone sign it that was super sweet so love mine!! 

Tuesday, was pretty good worked all day and just did the usual, this week is flying by pretty quickly!! After work we went to spend time with my aunt Carol and Uncle Craig, Jimmy and Amanda it was a fun evening just sitting around talking!! 

Tonight (Wednesday) we went over to the trailer to do some more working, but instead of doing a lot inside the house since Steven had to work tonight, we ended up outside with a burn pipe burning papers that needed our information gone, it was alright doing it just a long progress, also made me miss Big Brother and most of Master Chef, it's all ok tho!! Also while we were out burning, Ozzy decided to come back that is moms dog he has been missing for around 2 weeks and just came back tonight ...

After the forever of burning we finally are all finish, before that Braxton couldn't handle it and claimed up in my lap and was sleeping!! 

 Jeffrey and Lynn out  by the fire helping out and relaxing!!! 

Tonight was also Stevens last night at work before the move, it's a little bittersweet feelings!!! But on a good note I am super excited for him to be at home during the evenings and night times!!! 

Well I'll be back probably Friday another blog, we are having yet again another yard sale so ill be post how that all goes!!!

Another Yard Sale weekend...

So this weekend we were able to get things together and have another yard sale but this time it was a little bit more exciting and crazy getting ready for it then last time... We had gotten started later then planned I had to go into Greensboro and meet a lady to pick up a reading learning system for the kids I had found on a yard sale site on Facebook, (That's the first photo) if you can see it was the reading system with two books plus another 8 books to go with it, I almost talked my self out of going all the way over there to buy this for $50.00 I was just thinking that's way to much money to be spending when we are about to head on the road and need a lot of money for that, I kept talking about it all day long at work and showing people the photos and going back and forward on if I was getting it or not, well then that evening I just about told the lady I had changed my mind then my mom was like well just look it up online for the price then let her know if you still want it or not so I did, and the system by it's self on Amazon sells for $129.99 so that sold me... I was getting it, Me, Jeffrey and Steven  went all the way over to meet her and pick it up, the lady said I hope your kids really enjoy this is what Spoiled Grandkids look like it's never been open, when I got back in the car Jeffrey was going to scan the bar codes so that we could add up the totals to see if the deal was good, and the total came to....... $240.00 with that being said it was a DANG GOOD DEAL..... 

Finally we got over to the house it was running about 6:00 pm maybe even closer to 6:30-7:00, we were running out of daytime and we had a lot we needed to get done, but we were working our little hearts out sweating like crazy and getting everything in piles for either Keep, Yard Sale, Trash... in between all the little mice and us freaking out, we made a lot of progress until we ran across (THE NEXT PHOTO) that darn black snake that was inside of the house behind some mattresses and boxes, mom spotted it and she just knew it was something other then a mouse or something that was supposed to be in the house, and let me tell you after we saw that it was SOOOO hard to get anyone to work on much of anything else lol.... every single step I was taken I was freaking out there would be a snake, but finally we made it through and was all done and ready for Saturday mornings Yard Sale.... 

Saturday Morning and it's time for the yard sale, and NONE of us is morning people let me tell you, Jeffrey was wide awake and kept trying to wake us all up, and finally around 5:30 or so we rolled over out the bed to get ready, and made the way down to the lobby to get and by time we got in the car headed over to even set out our yard sale items it was already 6:30 am we were running so Late and freaking out that NO one would even show up, Thankfully mom had made up some signs and on the way in Steven and Jeffrey put them up and pointed people our way, me and mom went and started to set out the stuff to sale... a few people went by looking as we were late setting up and we thought that no one was going to stop it was so slow and crazy but then finally they all started stopping and we did really good at the yard sale we were able to make about $160.00 which was really good for a late start yard sale, plus all the rain we got on Friday night and the yard was so wet and gross but it was a amazing turn out... 

Next Photo of Jeffrey was of him sweating so bad because it was sooo hot outside and he was stuck in the building trying to get everything out to going through it, it's just been so crazy hot around here lately that it's not even funny... 

After the yard sale had slowed down and people stopped coming we just left everything out in the yard because we needed to get this building started if we didn't start it would never get done so we just cleaned it out and got everything into piles again of Keep, Yard Sales, and Trash... during this time as soon as we get everything pulled out and ready to start putting the piles up it starts to rain so we hurry up trying to pack up the yard sale items before they get soaked also get everything back into the building... and let me tell you the things didn't get as wet as we did that's the next (two photos) to show just how much rain we had in that short amount of time and then me soaking wet from being out there trying to get all that stuff up and out of the weather... 

well this is my blog for the weekend I have noticed that it's super long and maybe even boring if so I'm sorry and the next one will be better :) 

Also anyone that might read this know that we are having ANOTHER YARD SALE this weekend August 17th... we need everything sold that we can sell before we leave on the 21st for California!!!

This week has been CRAZY!!!

Starting off with Monday August 5th, 

After a hard working weekend on the yard sale and getting everything ready we headed back to work, it was a pretty easy Monday and for the most part it felt like it was speeding by in the same sense that it was creeping by probably because of all the excitement it was before my brother was to fly home to North Carolina! Finally when the work day ended and I headed home the kids were pretty good that afternoon, we talked on FaceTime with Jeffrey and Carl, for a while both babies really enjoyed that a lot, Jeffrey was able to give Dannielynn a tour of the home we will be going to in California, she really liked it.... :) 

Tuesday August 6th- work was going by pretty slow but it was all of the excitement of Jeffrey being on the Airplane, I sat by my phone most the day just waiting to hear from him, I was super happy and excited the most when I got the text message he was landed in Raleigh I knew it was safe then and it was so relaxing, then the long wait began as he said he was in the car on the way to the room, it felt like years before he got there! Dannielynn and Braxton were so tired but wanted to wait up on him, of course they didn't make it lol, but as soon as he was in the room it didn't take no time at all before they were up and very excited to finally see uncle Jeffrey! Braxton has even traded in sleeping with mom, for sleeping with his uncle Jeffrey! 

Wednesday August 7th- was a very on the edge day for me, as some might know this is the day "SIX" years ago that I was in the car wreck that changed my life forever, I even had to ride right over the spot we wrecked a few times, I felt some anxiety trying to come on but with the help of my babies I was able to block it out and be fine, this year it really hit hard, for the fact that six years ago I had plans on going to California with my brother Jeffrey and the wreck is what stopped my from going and delayed his move until February, but we made it through and I know that everything will be ok!! :)

Thursday August 8th- THAT'S TODAY!! I had a really busy day at work I worked pretty hard, and stayed real busy, we have a lot to get done before the plant closes down, which is a little bittersweet, I am in a way ready to leave the work place but also in the same time really not wanting to leave all of the friends I have made there! But it will be alright and it's all in our plans, time for us to go on and better our lives! Tonight is also family dinner night, Jeffrey cooked spaghetti and it was tasty, now everyone is in their little groups talking and playing some in the kitchen talking, some outside playing basketball and I'm sitting here waiting to watch some BIG BROTHER I love that show!!

Tomorrow Friday August 9th- I have work for the last day this week and then the wonder husband I have is taking the day off so we can get stuff ready for another yard sale which I am hoping to sell A LOT of everything and make a bunch of money for California!!! Also for NO RAIN!

Don't let me forget to mention that in a short amount of time CARL will be here in North Carolina also!!!!

Well I have been thinking about all day what I would blog about and it couldn't come to me, we'll my child wanted Taco Bell and when I pulled out some Mild Sauce there it was!!

If you never do, you'll never know and that's how I am feeling about leaving NC and heading to California, everyone keeps asking me what if I don't like it well I can't plan that ahead because I haven't even made it there but I am heading with my eyes wide open and going to direct my decisions in the right path for our little family, and do the best that we can do... 

Today I have been super excited that it will be 24 hours and Jeffrey McLaurin will be on the Airplane headed here to NC... It will be so nice to see him again, we haven't seen him since Christmas, so it's time to see him again!!!
